Rinzai-ji Updates

Gentei Osho, the Vice- abbot of Rinzai-ji, spent most of the month of September here, and he has returned to North Carolina where he is the Abbot of the North Carolina Zen Center. It was great having him here. We had a zazenkai, at which he spoke, and we accomplished many projects. We have new shoe racks at both ends of the Zendo, so now we do Kinhin outside. This was appreciated during the Dai- sesshin that just concluded, along the formal meals we did in the dining room. October 5th we had a ceremony for the anniversity of Bodhidharma's death, at which Roshi spoke.

Roshi leaves tomorrow and plans to return here December 3rd.
