Please join us for the Darumaki Ōzesshin, commemorating the death of Bodhidharma. Rinzai-ji is pleased to announce that Minakawa Rōshi, from Jōshū Rōshi’s ordination temple Zuiryū-ji in Sapporo, will once again lead the Darumaki Ōzesshin. The Sesshin will include daily Teishō and Sanzen.
起龍軒皆川彰久老師 (Kiryūken Minakawa Shyōkyū Rōshi) is the abbot of Zuiryū-ji and the recently founded Sapporo Zen Center in Hokkaido, Japan. Minakawa Rōshi trained at Zuigan Sōdō in Matsushima, where Jōshū Rōshi also trained. Minakawa Rōshi is one of the few Rinzai Rōshi in Japan who offers daily Sanzen to lay practitioners.
