It is our honor that Eshin Oshō from Zen Centre of Vancouver is able to lead this online one-day Zazenkai. This is a great oppotunity to immerse yourself into Rinzai practice for concentrated time on the weekend.

It will be an online retreat, including zazen instruction, a dharma talk, and one-on-one practice meetings with Eshin. Off-line time will be built into the schedule to allow for meals, work practice at your home, and kinhin.

Suggested Contribution: $25. We know that some people are struggling financially, and we want to make these offerings available to everyone, regardless of ability to pay. If you can afford more, please consider giving at a higher level to help others.

Everyone who registers will receive a schedule with Zoom links. While we encourage full-time participation, you may join us for as much as you can. Please contact office@rinzaiji.org if you have any questions.

Eshin Hoju Godfrey is a Zen Osho in the Joshu Sasaki Roshi lineage of Rinzai Zen.

The abbot and teacher of the Zen Centre of Vancouver, Canada; he has led retreats since 1998 with a passion for mentoring a new generation of Zen students.

Under his guidance the centre has established facilities for practice residents and serves a lay practice community through strong ongoing schedules of daily services, sesshins, and zazenkais.

Eshin’s shares his life and practice with his wife, Myorei Corinne Zeraffa, a Zen ordained and sangha elder of the Zen Centre of Vancouver. They live a fully embodied Zen life that includes family, work and personal interests.
