The traditional custom of the Reigetsu-ki ceremony is a monthly memorial service in remembrance of Rinzai-ji’s founder, Jōshu Rōshi. The ceremony is performed each month on the date of his death- the 27th, and also the 26th in the evening.

The monks at Rinzai-ji will do the short evening ceremony on the 26th, at 6:30pm and the 27th morning ceremony after choka, 7:45am. People are welcome to join in person or online, with the regular zazen zoom link on the home page of the website.
