Immerse yourself in the life of zen tradition and our community by joining the residency program. Gentai-an is located near Rinzai-ji and currently has private rooms as well as dormitory space available for those who are seeking for more intense zen practice as a part of your daily life. Guests students are welcome! Join us for a few days or weeks to experience fully. Students of our teacher, Joshu Sasaki Roshi, may also arrange for long-term residency either on a full-time participation/work-study basis or on a part-time participation/rent-paying basis. Full-time students are expected to engage in our entire schedule, including all work periods, meals and retreats. Part-time students have more flexibility in these areas but are still expected to join actively in multiple aspects of our community life. Email us
